Sharpen those pencils

Just about time for school to be starting once again, so get those backpacks stuffed with supplies.   This little mouse is sharpening and testing out his pencils - he comes from Gray Wolf Graphics.  My good friend, Pat, sent me some designer papers, of which these pencils were a part of and made for great coordination with this image - thanks, Pat, for lending me a hand in my creativity!!

Flowers and butterflies

I like the refreshing look of the pink and green combination.   This is an Art by MiRan digital image, which I've colored with prismas and added diamond stickles to the flowers.  A couple doilies behind for a lacy touch, along wtih the ribbon, diecuts, flowers and butterflies - and the pink cardstock behind the image is also pre-glittered.  Thanks so much for coming in to take a closer look!

Flower basket

This is an image from Lacy Sunshine and isn't she cute and a bit coy?   I've colored her with prismas, and then went crazy with embellishments -- a bit of drywall tape behind the image, plus diecuts, flowers, butterflies, ribbon/bows and gems.  Thanks so much for coming in to view my creation.

Picking daisies

This sweet girl comes from Penny Black and I love the daisy she appears to be picking.   I guess if you ask what my favorite technique is, it's prisma coloring, as I can get the shading to come out with one pencil, instead of 3 or 4.   And, I love working with daisies, as they're so versatile and lay down well for cards, along with being most any color.   Thanks for coming in to view my creation today.

And away we go

Love To Scrap has another challenge starting up today with everyone's favorite theme of "anything goes" -- hope you get a chance to enter some of your artistic creations this time around - remember, we've upped your limit from three entries to FIVE!   Our three generous prize sponsors this time around are:  Lawn Fawn, Heartfelt Creations and Julia Spiri Digital Stamps.    I've chosen this cute roller skate gal with her faithful companion to color up this time around - this stamp comes from Lili of the Valley.  She's been colored with prismas and then my embellisments are diecut flourishes and corners with pearls, doilies, and flowers with brad centers.   Hope everyone is enjoying their summer like this gal appears to be!

Heart of faith

This image is entitled "heart of faith" and comes from Ching-Chou Kuik.  I usually prefer brighter colors in my creations, so this was a bit of a challenge for me to do neutrals, but I'm satisfied with how it turned out.  My lady's been colored with prismas, and I've addded diamond stickles to the pearls in her hair, her dress, and a portion of the butterflies.  As to my having a favorite flower, I'm not sure I can pinpoint just one, but I do like the lilies on this image and I love the smell of an Easter lily.  The flowers I added onto my diecut are more of a daisy design, which I also like to work with, as they can be any color and are so versatile.   I did put a strip of lace along the bottom, but most is covered up with my image frame, along with the sheer gold bow.
I would like to enter this into the following:

As You Like It - favorite flower and why

Lovely ruffles

Isn't this sweetie pie from Time for Tea Designs so pretty in her frilly, feminine dress?   It's summertime, so I couldn't resist doing her dress in a myriad of colors, almost like a rainbow.  I added diamond stickles to the lacy bottom and the waistline, so she is ready to party or at least "wow" them.   A doily tucked behind for a lacy look, with fancy diecut corners and pearls added to them.  The hearts are gem embellishments I had on hand.   The foliage is a diecut and I've added the assorted daisies to the branch.  I love daisies, as they're so versatile to use and can be any color (although I must admit, there are other flowers I like, too) and they lay a bit flatter to make my card easier to put in the mail.
