Birthday card for Ashley

Our granddaughter's birthday is Aug 4th, but we're celebrating tomorrow - she will be 10 and I'm hoping she likes this birthday card - there IS glitter in the word "birthday" to the left of Tilda. Anyhow, all girls love pink and purple, right -- at least, I can only HOPE!!

Birthday card for Austin

Our grandson was (12) on Monday, but we won't see him till tomorrow, when they come over for cake and ice cream - hope he likes his card (boy cards are harder to design than girls - at least for me!).

Rhino joke card

One more foam animal to make a batch of children's joke cards -- this set is going into the box I've started to fill for the Love Letters organization. Had (12) rhinos in the container, so went ahead and put (12) cards together - amazing how fast it goes, once you have your card design idea planned!

Hello turtle

Isn't this such a happy turtle? I loved him as soon as I saw him sitting on the shelf - he practically did a nose dive right into my hand. And, the bottom portion is a new SU embossing folder -- called "lattice. I'm liking the look of it.

Wallowing in mud

Well, at least I think this is mud - it could be chocolate, I guess! HaHa
Anyhow, on these hot, humid days, this looks like a refreshing thing to do - mud packs are good for you, right!

Tilda with lilacs

This is such a sweet Tilda (but then, all of them are pretty much just that - sweet!). Again, the coloring isn't showing up as bright as it is (looking a bit "washed out" here). And there must be a little defect with this particular stamp, as it looks like she has a little dot for a mouth (she shouldn't have any!). Glitter-glue was added to the lilacs, but it doesn't show up on the scan. Thanks for viewing!

Edwin with Lizard

I was in need of some boy images, so my good friend Monica was sweet enough to share her Edwin with lizard stamp with me. The colors are truly a bit brighter in real life -- my scanner doesn't do such a hot job on true colors, but this is it.

Monkey joke

One more foam image from my Michael's "bucket of animals". At least these make good "boys" cards, although they could be for girls, too -- guess Love Letters can decide where they're most needed to make smiles, as that's the box they're going into.

Teddy bear cuteness

This is one of my newer Penny Black purchases -- not a new design out, but just a new stamp for me -- he is certainly a cutie-patootie, wouldn't you agree?

zebra card

Sorry - had to put a sheet of black paper behind this card, or the whole spotted background wouldn't show up properly. Anyhow, here is another kids' joke card I made up using another animal foam image from the bucket I found on sale at the Michael's store. So far, I'm finding (12) of each animal, so that's the number of cards that are being put together with the same design. This zebra image would make a cute stamp design itself !

Isn't this a cute Sarah Kay image? These little girls are just so precious - can't remember just who sent me this image a while back, but I finally got around to coloring up a few of them.

Crocodile joke

Found this foam image at Michael's the other day, so figured he'd make up into a cute joke card for the Love Letters children's group. And, for those who haven't figured out the answer, it's "SNAP". LOL The actual card is a bit darker than what it scanned and I sponged the edges a darker shade, which doesn't really show up well here.

Bear with bouquet

I thought this bear looked a little sad-eyed, but it looks like his intentions are sweet -- handing out a bouquet of flowers to you!

Hedgehog fun

I'm on a roll here today (can you tell I have the day off work - woohoo!), so what the heck, here's another card that will be going to Bella -- and I made some extras, so the remainder will be going into the Love Letters box. It's really hard to design "boy" cards, but I thought this was cute and simple, so made a few of these to put into my box I have going for Cards for Kids. Looks like this HouseMouse had a little"sample bite" of the berry, though . . .

This is another PennyBlack hedgehog that I did, but just changed the background layout a bit. This card will be on its way in tomorrow's mail to Bella Tucker, so hope she gets a smile out of it.
